The htw saar is a research and application-oriented university with a strong tradition anchored in its surrounding region. Its 48 study programs combine theory and practice and include a practical study phase in a business enterprise. Students can thus put their theoretical knowledge gained from the university directly into practice and establish their first ties to the working world. With its 5 schools (Architecture and Civil Engineering, Engineering, Social Sciences, and Business, as well as the Franco-German Institute of Higher Education in Applied Sciences), ca. 6,000 students, numerous international partnerships and 600 employees, the htw saar counts as one of the mid-sized universities of applied sciences in Germany.
